    sutton slice

Sutton slice technique + bonus bracelet

The Sutton slice technique was invented by artist Lisa Pavelka. It came to be simply due to one of her students having issues removing clay from a stamp/texture sheet. While trying to show him how to remove the clay stuck in the texture using another piece of clay, Lisa Pavelka realized that she had just found a new wonderful technique. And, of course, she gave it the name of the student without whom this would have never came to be.

In the following tutorial I will show you not only how to achieve a Sutton Slice effect, but also how to create a project with it. t

The texture sheets that I am using in this tutorial is named "Jumbalaya" and you can purchase it HERE

The clay is Premo White, Black and Green.

The thread is Jute twine cord and can be purchased HERE

And once again many thanks to my dear sponsor, Lili Radu, who has purchased the texture stamp set for me.

NOTE: You can see Lisa Pavelka explaining it and talking about how it came to be in her tutorial. Honestly until I watched her tutorial I always had problems doing the shaving properly due to my hands issues, but after trying the "pivot shave" that she shows in her video it works like a charm. You can watch her tutorial HERE.

Want to see  even more interesting tutorials? I love sharing what I know, but I need materials to create. As a disabled cancer survivor I cannot afford to buy much, and sometimes it's an effort to buy just the polymer clay I need.
