    Varnishes, glazes, etc

    You must always use a varnish that is water based. Any varnish that is thinner, acetone or even mineral spirits based (not of the latest though) will in time degrade your polymer clay.

    One of the worst things you can do is to use nail polish to varnish and glaze your finished pieces. Yes, for the moment it will look absolutely gorgeous, but it won't be long until what is underneath that varnish will start changing.
