How to make containers without leaving the baking blank in

The fact that one must leave the baking blank (glass) in when creating decorative objects out of polymer clay is bothering many.

But you don't HAVE to do that. In this article, I will show you how to create various vessels and containers without having to keep the baking blank inside the vessels or containers you create.

First I will show you how to make a gourd-type bowl. The shape is up to you. You can make it rounder, by using a spherical baking blank, like a spherical light bulb or a stone sphere, or you can make it flatter, by using a flatter type bowl. I would recommend, nevertheless, to use a glass baking blank, as that way you can look inside and see if you trapped any air.
