Oklahoma in Spring. We've been announced almost a week in advance that this past Friday (that is, yesterday) was going to bring a lot of rain and some dangerous storms. Tornadic storms. Overnight.
So yes, I didn't sleep all night.
Yesterday I worked all day long to a new project. It's a surprise for now, all I can tell you is that it involves that gorgeous flower named "bird of paradise". I won't be able to finish it yet, though, as I need to get to Hobby Lobby and get some findings. I sure hope they have black wire because I'm completely out of it. Actually I'm not. I have a big bag of various wires of different colors (yes, including blue, red and green lol) but I have no idea what I did with it. I've been searching all over the house without any success yet.
So today once the threat is gone (should be already down as the temperatures started plummeting) I will try to take a couple of naps and in between finish setting some of the pendants I have into necklaces. Sari ribbon and beads - which I have to make.
It will be a pain. Yesterday I've spent half of the time popping air bubbles. The humidity before a storm here in Oklahoma is horrible. And I couldn't turn on the A/C because the temperature was perfect. And I didn't want to freeze.
Amyway. I'll edit this later with a few photos with what I hope to accomplish today.
In the mean time, did you know that you can make small cutters (for those tiny leaves and feathers) out of the soft metal tea lights are set in? Just cut it around with scissors, shape it the way you need it to be, then set it in a piece of polymer clay - make sure it's flush on the cutting side - bake it and voila! you got yourself some free itty-bitty cutters. As for the tea-lights, you can get them for a buck or two at the Dollar Store.
