I started yesterday afternoon making the necklace using the ammonites I made in the tutorial.
Unfortunately:
1. I could only start it around 4 pm. The beginning of my day was taken with mowing and cleaning the yard.
Due to my disability that is very tedious work that requires lots of breaks. Also, because I can't use a regular lawnmower, I have a small push reel mower - that doesn't work when the grass is too tall. So I have to use a weed-eater. Well, that makes my hands feel all wobbly and out of sorts and uncontrollable for about an hour afterwards (my cervical spine is all messed up and that affects my hands).
2. By the time I got to getting the bezel done, the clay got too soft to handle. So I had to decide to take an overnight break in making that necklace. It's coming up gorgeous though. You will love it, I promise.
So today I need to finish cleaning house, go for a little bit of shopping - need some cellophane to pack some finished pieces, I hate to see them laying in piles all over the place - finish the necklace tutorial and if there's time, finish the backyard. I might have to do the backyard first though, as we're expecting more rain. That is the reason why the grass got so tall. And I can't let it be tall until Friday when theoretically the rains will be over because we have ticks here. Lots and lots of ticks.
So, hopefully later in the day I'll edit this entry and post the ammonite necklace tutorial.
See you laterz, gaterz.
Edit. Finally the tutorial got uploaded. Here it is:
